Never seen so many cameras in one place; it was amazing
It was fascinating watching the exotic cars inch through 35,000 people lining Cannery Row in Monterey. Their engines were blaring as they revved them up for the crowd.
Everyone was staking their ground high and low to get a glimpse and a photo of these exotic automobiles. It was amazing; I have never seen so many people with cameras out in one place.
New Venue, the same excitement
In 2019 Exotics on Cannery Row in Monterey moved a few miles away to the little town of Seaside along the central California coast and is now called Exotics on Broadway.
The new venue for Exotics on Broadway in Seaside has much more room than on Cannery Row. So my first thought was that the new location wouldn’t have that same buzz and feel like the former location.
That thought didn’t last long as it quickly started filling up with over 40,000 people and over 400 exotic cars.
Along with the exotic cars, the atmosphere around the event was incredible. Something that I haven’t seen before at any event. I’d say the new venue was a hit. Exotics On Broadway in Seaside is a must-see event during Monterey Car Week, even if you are not an exotic car fan.
Monterey Car Week is a week-long plus event that is not just one event. There are many car-related events and activities throughout the Monterey Area.
Events are happening all week long, and many are free to attend, like Exotics On Broadway. However, there is so much to do during Monterey Car Week there is no way to see every event or venue.
Even though I’m more of a hotrod and classic car enthusiast, this is one of my favorite weeks of the year. I wouldn’t want to miss Monterey Car Week.
Fun for everyone
There is something for everyone during Monterey Car Week. Not sure that you will find as many exotic supercars and million-dollar-plus old original cars as the ones shown at the Concourse d’Elegance anywhere else in the US.
You will see these cars out and about driving around and at many get-togethers during Monterey Car Week. Super fun for any car enthusiast fan, or even if you are not a car enthusiast fan, you will still have a blast.
