Nor-Cal Ride Out - San Francisco bay area car cruise

As organized car events continued to be shut down in California due to the Covid 19 pandemic we see other events spring up not by big organizations but the car owners them selves though social media like the Nor-Cal Ride Out over the weekend. Nor-Cal Ride Out was put together by muscle_ n _ bullyz on Instagram. Nor-Cal Ride Out was more like two car shows and a car cruise all in one.

The event started out with meet ups through out the area, groups would meet up prior to heading over to the first stop at Treasure Island which is between Oakland and the City of San Francisco via the Bay Bridge.

Treasure Island has some of the best views of the City of San Francisco if in the area it’s worth a stop to check it out. There was a nice variety of cars at Nor-Cal Ride Out there were many newer muscle cars like Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers and Chargers along with the newer muscle cars there were also classic Novas, Chevelles, Mustangs, Trucks and Motorcycles. Some were saying about 300 cars showed up and others were saying 400-500 cars showed up to the event, I’m thinking it was the higher number for the entire event.

After an hour or two hanging out on Treasure Island everyone headed out, most of the cars took a cruise through the City and headed over to the second stop which was at Mare Island Naval Shipyard, along with cars the that were over at Treasure Island other groups of cars showed up at Mare Island that wasn’t at the first stop on Treasure Island.

Mare Island Naval Shipyard with all the old abandoned buildings and a not so populated area of Vallejo it’s a great place to have a car event get together.

It’s really cool how everyone can come together at a car event with such diverse backgrounds and collection of cars and have such a great time, it’s that way with all car related events. Are these cruise and get togethers the future of car event’s, let’s hope so.
